Horses

The very first evidence of the Horse were drawings these date back to around 3000 B.C. Cave drawings from the Bronze age depict Horses pulling chariots. The earliest records of Horses being ridden were found In Egypt that dated back to 1600 B.C. Around the 4th century, Horses were being ridden in saddles with stirrups which was an Asiatic invention, widely adopted after the time of Charlemagne and allowed for the development of mounted knights.

Horses are very sensitive creatures — The Horses who grow up around love and kindness are usually very gentle. The Horses who have been mistreated can be dangerous. Horses are grazing animals in need of open space and the companionship of other Horses and humans! Even though they can adapt to stables — exercise is an essential part of their well-being. Keeping a Horse can be a rewarding yet overwhelming responsibility. Horses have enormous psychological and physical needs that require hours of work and attention.

When trained and cared for properly, Horses can become wonderful companions who will do just about anything asked of them. These majestic creatures can make excellent pets!

Goats

There are many breeds of Goats — Most commonly known are Dairy Goats, Pigmy Goats, Boer Goats, Cashmere Goats, Nigerian Dwarf Goats and Mountain Goats Female goats are called Does — Male Goats are called Bucks Goats are fairly easy to care for yet they appreciate the companionship of other Goats! Goats are curious and inquisitive animals, but a bored or unhappy goat can destroy goods and property if they are neglected or become lonely.

These amiable creatures require care similar to Horses requiring a sheltered area and some type of exercise area or pasture to assure their well-being. Many Goats live as Pets in today's society They are favorites at shows and fairs as they are usually kind in nature and fascinating to watch and feed! Although playful and cute — Goats can become unruly and a hazard to other pets and children if not trained carefully and appropriately.

Think carefully before you take on the responsibility of caring for a goat or two — these creatures are demanding of time and patience!
